When I think of Devon I immediately think of endless coastlines, desolate moorland, beautiful quaint village, beautiful beaches and of course traditional hog roasts from our Hog Roast Yelverton. The history of Devon goes back to at least the Stone Age, Devon was one of the first places that people decided to settle once the ice retreated. Devon produced copper, tin and other metals from ancient times, this thrived for hundreds of years and the ‘Devon Great Consols Mine’ near Tavistock is believed to be the largest copper mine in the world.
